LCD just went out

friend has a 2 year old dell lcd that just went into sleep mode while he was using it. i say sleep mode cause the screen turned off and the orange light stays on. Tried it on my puter and same thing.

anybody know how to fix it?
 
bumpity bump bump...

i tried that SKORPI0 and it wasn't it. i have heard that the bulb can burn out and be replaced for like $10????? is this for real????????

please help
