LCD issues

Hey guys, I'm having some issues with my LCD monitor. I have a DCL 19 inch. I've done some reading on interference ect. There is about a two inch stripe running from bottom to top that creates flickering lines only on white screens? Here is a video I shot of it doing it. It only does it in this two inch area of the monitor. http://www.rankinstudio.com/dnloads/monitor.wmv

Ive tried to use different cables, switch to different outlets, update and roll back drivers...nothing seems to be making it go away. Ive also tried to shield the VGA cable to stop interference. I've also hooked it up to a different computer and had the same issue...so its not the graphics card. Not sure what to do from here aside from purchasing a new monitor...really dont have the cash I'm a photographer and a videographer...really rely on my computer Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the monitor...all the specs ect.

Model number DCL9A

Nothing unusual, no storms, just normal usage of the monitor. The only thing I can remember strange happening was I was having some Issues with quicktime freezing up my computer. I just uninstalled that tho..not sure it would be related.

okay, from what I can see in the video, and the other info, I'd guess it may be the video card. do you have a spare monitor you can hook up to verify if it is or isn't?

Well, I didn't try to hook up another monitor to this computer, but I did take this monitor and hook it up to another computer and it did the same thing which lead me to believe the video card is ok....

I did just notice it got better when I dropped the refresh rate from 72 to 60 Hertz

its still slightly doing it tho.

the system you hooked up the monitor too, could you hook its monitor to yours. I would like to verify before jumping the gun.

Reading through the manuals....the temps for an amd system, and this video card...are normal from what they say...not sure what your talking about on the voltage?

the 12v rail is not hitting 12v, it's running below, but not significantly. I have never seen a graphics card run that hot with nothing putting a load on it. I would say you probably have a faulty PSU and possibly it damaged the video card.

Oh...Its under quite a load lol....I was running maya and photoshop when I took that screen shot...Im pretty sure its not related to the video card...the other monitor worked great.

The video cards software is saying its at 53degrees C...which is the bottom two green bars....the core shutdown isnt until over 100. According to that software its running cold?

if you're talking about the icons to the left, they do not change. The temps are still too high, and I'm going to say power and video card are the issue. My HDD under load barely creeps past 100F, your's baking itself.

Ok, I appreciate your help, but temperature is not the issue. Ive done my research and the little green bars do move 😉 They go up to yellow, then red, then when it reaches the core threshold there is an alarm to notify you. If the video card was malfunctioning, when I hooked the other monitor up...would it not do the same thing? This monitor also does the same thing on a totally different system. The problem is obviously with the monitor....I just dont know where to go from there. 🙂

you've other issues than just the monitor. as for it, if it's under a year since you bought it new, then contact dell, if not, then you'll have to buy a new one.

Well, I appreciate you diagnosing my compter with other problems...but still have an issue with my monitor that is not being caused by my video card....seems to be getting worse also 🙁 If anyone else has any ideas, would appreciate it 🙂
