I just installed my first LCD flat panel, analog only monitors. One went onto a Windows 2000 Prof machine and the other onto a Windows XP Prof machine. In both instances, Windows defaulted to the drivers for "Plug and Play" monitor. So, should I bother to change the drivers; I thought that Win 2K and Win XP did not bother with specific monitor ".inf" files like Win 98 did.
Next question involves the 2D quality of the LCD display (analog only). Does the 2D image quality in LCDs vary with the video card manufacturer in the same manner as it does with CRT displays? Or does the 2D quality of an LCD depend totally on the quality of the monitor only???
Thank you.
New to LCD.
