LCD headphone jack buzzing sound

A co-worker has received a new 24" LCD monitor: Philips 240BW9

She listens to music a lot, and uses headphones to not bother the rest. But when her headphones are plugged in the monitor's headphone jack, there is a buzzing sound, as if there was interference, at all times - whether a CD is playing or not. I have personally checked all cable connections to ensure they are fully inserted, since the sound does remind me of a plug not fully plugged in. But this isn't the case here.

Playing the music over the monitor's regular (and crappy) speakers does not show any buzzing sound; the music comes through clear.

All that's changed is the monitor; the previous one (Philips 190B7CB) had no such problems, and the headphones are the same.

Would this be a badly-soldered headphone jack? The monitor is still under warranty.
