LCD HDTV as primary computer lcd?

It's generally not a good idea to use TV as a PC monitor.

I mean, the resolutino for example, is 1366x768. Thats not that great, and on a 26inch screen from computing distances, it won't look so hot.

I think.

meh, bump.

1920x1080 is a big resolution difference from 1366x768 though. I contemplated using mine as a monitor, but after running the cable to it and checking it out at 720p, I decided otherwise. Just not enough screen real estate.

The price seems kinda high for a 26 in lcd tv, unless there's something special about this one. A good price for one is more like $500.

If you compare one of these with a 17in lcd screen running at 1280x1024, the 26in tv actually has fewer pixels, but each pixel is much larger. If you want to view it from a distance this could be useful.

if you use it only for web surfing, email, games, and TV, it's probably fine, though you may find cheaper options, and I would buy locxally so if it doesn't work out, it's easy to return.

and you don't need monster gfx to run 768p 🙂

i think ima go with a 32" but i'll definitely research b4 i purchase. also, could you guys show me pictures of your LCD TV set up? perhaps with a SS of games / movies / web on it

it wouldn't need a monster graphics card. that's a pretty low resolution. lower than 1280x1024.

Screen looks good but like the others are saying, it got a really low resolution for actual copmuter usage.
