LCD has blue vertical bands

Ok so I have a Dell 20" 2001FP monitor that recently started showing with blue vertical lines all the way up the screen. Its about 1.5 inches thick and only shows over lighter colors. It is sometimes more noticeable than others - sometimes it isnt noticeable and sometimes its very blue. Black doesnt show it at all - that i can see.

The monitor has both analog and digital connectors - the lines show up on both. I tried using my laptop for another video card (analog only) and it still shows so I dont think its my video card on my PC. Any other ideas on troubleshooting or repair before I toss it? See pics below - Thanks.

Damaged display.

I would say it looks like someone pressed on it very hard. Take it back if it is still under warranty.

I know of no way to repair that. Perhaps someone else does.

Display is dying. Had it happen on the same model Dell - started out intermittently as a narrow band on the righthand side but became permanent and got wider.
