I am interested in building a LCD hardware monitor device similar to the Digital Doc 5.
I was wondering if anyone had built one? I found alot of info (most of which was way over my head)
online but didn't find a "how to" article. I think the Digital Doc is a great product and the price is
not bad but I would like to build one just for something to do. If anyone has some info or links
please post them. Thanks AT'ers.

It's hard to do. A company whos website is on my broken computer, makes an LCD screen that has 8 outputs, and could be used as the core of making your own digital rheobus. It is hard though.

matrix orbital makes some cool lcd's. though they are expensive, they can have more functions than a digidoc5, if you know how. but beyond the link, i couldn't help you.

Here's a tutorial using a Matrix Orbital display. Here's some software that will allow you to easily use your LCD to display all kinds of stuff.
