LCD glut over soon

We'll see. Canon may resolve the problem fairly quickly. Hard to really say without knowing exactly what the problem in. Merril Lynch seem to be taking the conservative approach - which is probably wise.

Over the long haul, though, the pricing trend for LCD's is definitely down. And with several new technologies coming in the near future such as Samsung OLEDs (due out next year) and Epson's ink-jet printed OLED's (larger displays are due out in 2007) and Toshiba & Canon's new SED displays which are due out next year, the trend towards cheaper, better and bigger displays is only likely to accelerate.
 
I told myself once the 2001FP hits below $500 I'm buying it. It was $45 away just yesterday, I wonder if I'll have a new monitor by Christmas 😉
