LCD for gaming use (low res needed)

Here is the deal. Right now I use a 22" NEC fe2111sb CRT that I love, but the problem is that it weighs far too much and uses my entire desk. I would be using the display for Counterstrike Source, which I play competitively. I need something that doesn't ghost at all, and will keep up AS well as possible with the CRT. I'm moving into a really small room next year, so the CRT is basically a no-go. Heres the thing, and I don't even know if it's possible. I need to play CSS @ 1024x768 resolution. It's a matter of the feel, as I'm complete used to it back from the early days of CS.

please no cs1.6 vs css comments.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Dont know....an lcd isnt going to scale better than your crt at 1024x768, only current 15" carry that native res but none that i know of are high quality and gamers specific. Most people usually shell out the cash for a 17/19inch or higher just because theyre a better buy, ide recommend the Viewsonic VX922, im not sure personally how it will look at 1024x768 but it should look pretty close to its native at 1280x1024. Its bloody fast and you probably will only catch minor ghosting if any, question do you play for CPL? or CAL? Im currently playing in a CAL-IM.

Thats a very strange deal with the VX922+7600gt. The promotion is supposed to be for BFG but the 7600gt listed is 3d fuzion....but they still say its bfg for some reason? Does BFG make 3d fuzion?

Try a LCD TV that doesn't use rear projection. The 32" and smaller models have low native resolutions (i.e. 1366x768), digital input, and relatively large screen sizes of course. You can buy wall mounts very cheaply to move it off your desk and set the scaling mode to aspect ratio so that it'll display a centered 1024x768 desktop.

I'd recommend the Samsung 940BF or 204B. If you want WS, then go with the 940BW ($229 after MIR at Outpost.com or at your local Fry's) or the 205BW ($299 after MIR).
