LCD - Dynamic Contrast Control

I initially posted this question in 'The LCD Thread', but it drowned in the many different discussions going on there.

I'm planning on getting the Samsung 971P, but it seems that there's an updated model on the way, the 971P+.

As far as I know, the only difference is the higher contrast, due to Dynamic Contrast Control.

Is this something worth waiting for?

Does monitors with Dynamic Contrast Control normally have an option to turn it off?

Is Dynamic Contrast Control good or bad?

I'll let the gurus explain it, but IMO it's bad overall.

It can be good in some situations, but i don't like a contrast that's always changing personally.
