Hey guys, I'm having some issues with my LCD monitor. I have a DCL 19 inch. I've done some reading on interference ect. There is about a two inch stripe running from bottom to top that creates flickering lines only on white screens? Here is a video I shot of it doing it. It only does it in this two inch area of the monitor. http://www.rankinstudio.com/dnloads/monitor.wmv

Ive tried to use different cables, switch to different outlets, update and roll back drivers...nothing seems to be making it go away. Ive also tried to shield the VGA cable to stop interference. Not sure what to do from here aside from purchasing a new monitor...really dont have the cash :( I'm a photographer and a videographer...really rely on my computer :) Any help would be appreciated.

I'm still learning more about LCD's all the time, but one thing I found in my research is anomalies like that can sometimes be a symptom of "dying" pixels.

Take that with a grain of salt as I never followed up on it much. Who knows how reputable the source which claimed that actually is.

It does make sense though, so you might consider it especially if it just recently started (sounds like).

There is a program called UDPixel (UnDeadPixel) which basically attempts to find dead pixels and fix them. You could give it a shot as it has no negative effects.

Sorry I can't give you a more definite answer on this, but maybe it will provide you with another idea for your research into this problem.
