So I bought my Hyundai L90D+ from tigerdirect, then moved to the city for college. Monitor works great for a month, but now there seems to be a half circle of what looks like a yellow stain in the top right corner. The monitor image shows up through the defect, but everything is given a yellowish tint. Is this color bleeding? If I look right where the lcd screen is connected to the plastic shell, I think I can see a small hairline fracture, which might have happened during the move. The half circle is about 3 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall right now. Am I screwed? Is this color going to spread until all I can see is yellow?

I don't think it will spread, but it sounds like the monitor is permanenty damaged in the half circle area. We damaged an LCD a few years ago at my work, and there is a "smear" that runs in a broken half-circle in the middle of the screen. The LCD was damaged while being transported in a card with things on top of it

The damage did not spread, and the LCD is still in use 3 years later.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah that sounds like what happened with mine. Good to know it shouldn't spread. I changed to the olive windows theme and downloaded a matching firefox theme, so that covers up the blemish fairly well.

My LCD was in the box during transport. However, I couldn't get the base off to fit it in the syrofoam supports, so I made a makeshift bed in the styrofoam with a knife. Guess it didn't turn out too well, and I got staticy styrofoam bits everywhere.

I'll survive. :)
