I have an HP Pavilliion zt1155 that has a frequent but intermittant problem with the LCD backlight going on and off. Plugged up to a monitor, the video is perfect while at the same time, the LCD goes blank. If I click on an icon, the backlight may come back on again. When I reboot, the backlight comes on again but continues to have the intermittant problem.
Does this sound like the inverter is maybe bad?
