Lazy Vista vs. XP Pro question

Ok so I found out today that my law school's book store is offering full versions of Vista Ultimate for $20... Worth upgrading from XP Pro or not? I wouldn't have even considered switching until I saw this deal... I mainly use it for office work, video/photo editing, and the occasional game. Thanks for indulging me.

I have similar rig as you and Vista64 is much faster than XP o my PC.

I doubt it would be worth the hassle of reformatting and all that. Wait until you have a new computer and put vista on it.

😵 ? ... WTF are you talking about? Vista install is painless, just make sure you have at least 13 GB free, and you can install a Dual BOOT, for XP and Vista

then your upgrade is painless, and you get to keep both stuff, and take your time to slowly migrate your XP stuff to Vista, and still have access to all your documents and data.

Not to mention it is a Safe fall back in case Vista Sucks! big Time!, and it doesn't work well, then he can continue working in XP as if nothing happened.
