Thanks LifeAlert, no more laying on floors for me! Your commercial will save millions of lives with this totally legit medical information I'm sure.
Too much of anything can kill you...
(Though for some reason when it comes to sex, I cannot think of any better way to go)

If you are being sarcastic, you should know that laying on the floor for too long CAN be devastating? Ever hear of bed soars? Think of that only 100x worse.
It isn't a rare occasion for an older person to fall and be incapable of getting up for hours on end. Laying in the same position for 12+ hours really can do a lot of damage to the outer skin layers.
Sneezing while climaxing = head asplodes
I think LifeAlert or any tech that gives older folks some peace of mind, is a good thing.
It's false security though. They will forget to wear the thing, or fall in such a way, or have some condition, such as a stroke, where they can't push the button. Especially that necklace. It can easily end up behind your head, even in a simple fall.
Lie down on some concrete and dont move or shift positions. See how long you can last
I've slept on concrete easy. Not sure why its such a hard thing to believe. I get damn good sleep no matter if I'm in a bed, sleeping on hardwood floor, tile, and other hard surfaces.
Get back to me when you're 70 or 80.
Every single member of my family over the age of 50 still sleeps on hardwood floor. My grandmother is 70 and sleeps on hardwood.
It is not a difficult thing to do.
You're missing the point. It's not so much for actual security, it's for peace of mind for those who, for whatever reason, do not want "assisted living."
There is a significant difference between a sleeping on a hard surface and lying entirely immobile on a hard surface following an injury or medical trauma.Every single member of my family over the age of 50 still sleeps on hardwood floor. My grandmother is 70 and sleeps on hardwood.
It is not a difficult thing to do.
Unless you have medical issues. Which more people that age have than do not. Congrats on a healthy family. You can thank your genes.
You agreed with me...
Actually, truth be told, these systems are often for peace of mind and convenience of the relatives, who no longer have to check on grandma so much.
Laying in the same position for 12+ hours really can do a lot of damage to the outer skin layers.
I would bet that a large chunk of the world's population always sleeps on "the floor", and often for long periods.
A large chunk of the world's population doesn't regularly live to be 70 or 80.
