Lawyer Question-- Medical Insurance Issues

Not the best place to ask probably but what the hey. So back in February we get a certain drug treatment regime approved by my insurance company. We had ended up not going that route since their approval happened too late, and chose another drug. Now a few months later after some things have changed, this drug is needed again. They now say they accidently approved it in the first place and it is now not approved. I'm sure it's not legal what they are doing, however to correct the problem it seems like it'll take too much time and money. Any lawyers have any thoughts.

- user acquired widget B because insurance is slow as fsck.
- user now requires widget A
- insurance claims they won't approve widget A now because it was accidentally approved last time.

-user wants to know if there's a legal recourse.

I would find that unlikely.
