Anyone watched on cnn right know the discussion about the allegation of city ignoring the problem with having bad air quality around Beverly Hills high school because of the oil pumps. If so what did you think?

p.s. I will post my view on this latter, as my opinion is little bios consider that I attended the bhhs and I also know the current mayor of Beverly Hills.

I live in L.A., and I was raised just west of Beverly Hills. The problem is, they have an oil well right on the school property. It's been there since I was a kid (which is a long time ago), but in a time of rising environmental awareness, I'm not suprised this is happening, now.

If the city tried to ignore the problem or keep it quiet, a class action law suit is the right way deal with it. They are responsible for any health damages that can be proven, whether or not they knew about the polution problem. They received some of the profits from the oil, so they get to bear some of the responsiblity for any damage caused by the well. If any city officials knew about the problem and did nothing about it, they are even more responsible. That's where things like punative damages come in.

This would be no big deal, except that it's hitting Beverly Hills 90210.

So the residents are suing their own city, what if they win? The city will recoup the money how? From their dumb A*SES more than likely, property tax increases, increased vehicle registration costs, more tickets instead of warnings. What a bunch of moronic whiny rich bastards.

Even Saddam wasn't such a dumbass that he put an oil well in a school.
