Laws against wireless hacking

I'm looking for a law that states you cannot hack into wireless networks. A friend of mine wants proof of it. I tried searching but could not find any. I will continue to search. TIA.

It's illegal like speeding is illegal, except if the cops didn't have radar guns and there were only three of them for the entire country.

Thats what I was thinking also.
Kinda like someone saying they didn't steal the Dish signal it was already there in their backyard, they just put a dish there to collect it.

It's not hacking if there's no protection on the network.

No it's still unauthorised intrusion or trespassing.

Just because someone leaves their front door open doesn't mean it's OK for someone to come in and take their loot.
