I am trying to apply to Lawrence University as a Piano Performance major. After their stupid online application kept redirecting and then crashing on me, I gave up and printed hard copies. Off the top of my head, I've had to fill out so far:

Part 1 Application
The Common Application
Audition Request Form
Teacher Evaluation Form
Another Teacher Evaluation Form
Music Teacher Evaluation Form
Another Music Teacher Evaluation Form
A personal statement (essay)
School Report Form
Midyear Report Form
Test Scores Form

...and I'm not even done finding them all, not to mention all the junk i have to get my counselor to send them.

Were all these included in one easy-to-follow package? Of course not! I had to find out about them all, then search all over for where I can get them. About half of these forms have to be filled out by me, then taken to another person to completed and sent. And then, of course, I have to send them a check to process all this crap.

What the hell is their problem? This is the only school that has made it this difficult. Everyone else has condensed it somehow. You fill out an application the university, application to the school of music, audition request form, essay, and that's it. Have your counselor send your transcripts, get the SAT/ACT people to send your scores, include letters of recommendation if you want, and you're all set. Not Lawrence...I have about a million "supplemental" forms to fill out. Jesus.

Yup, it's official. I've finished applying to everywhere that I'm going to apply (that I can yet, some applications aren't even available yet). Lawrence is the only one that was nearly this problematic. Figures, it's one of my top choices.
