I work in the Toro/Lawnboy plant where they build a bunch of walk behind/riding lawn mowers. I don't remember right off-hand if they make this unit in the factory or not. I'll find out tomorrow and see what went wrong.

Bah, not that big of a deal IMO... your lawnmower throws flying stuff around all the time.. rocks, sticks... theres not much chance of you getting hit, lol

Maybe they forgot to put a liability label on it. You know, the ones that tell you how the mower is NOT to be used. If the label was missing someone might think they can pick up the mower and use it to trim their bushes, or something like that.

I had that happen to me once, scared the sh!t out of me. The blade flew out of the front of the mower....it could have HURT!!
