do i remove the mower deck?

i can't find my manual, it is a sears craftsman riding lawn tractor, i bought the front snow blade and tire weights and chains, i need to convert it from mower to snow plow

i just am not sure if i need to or should remove the mower deck. it seems like a good idea as the clearance under the mower deck isn't that high

yes, you need to remove the mower deck. the old garden tractor that i used to use for plowing snow was raised and lowered by the mower deck controls.

this snow blade is on the front and has a manual lever to raise lower it, but it makes sense to get the mower off so that snow doesn't catch on it
