Anyone here do lawn care professionally? Is now a good time to spread something? Weed & feed or just weed killer? What brand?
I have a broadcast hand spreader.
 
Weed and feed is always good. I put some on my yard, along with a pre-emergent weed killer (Called "Image") - kills the weeds the second they sprout. In the south, we have different lawns than people up north - so I only know how to care for St. Augustine grass.
 
You put both of those on at the same time?

Forgot to mention I have patches of weeds. Lots of purple ones this year where each stem looks like several mushrooms stacked on top of each other.

I'm in TN. We have mainly fescue, but I think I have some other stuff mixed in in spots - kind of spongy when you walk on it.
