lawn care question

So got a quote for lawn care.

8 times a year for $680 - fertilize and some other works
Grub and insect control - $126, once a year
Aerate lawn- $120, $240 for twice a year

Sounds about right for a 2k sqt lawn (front an back)

Wife wants the lawn to come back to life, so its gonna cost.

I haven't sign the contract yet, wanna see how it compares to everyone else.

After much heart felt discussions, minus frying pan to the head, the wife has agreed not to sign the contract.

You're in Texas, right? First, condolences. Second, maybe look into ground cover suitable for your location. It probably isn't grass.

too much clay, and rocks. we do have several trees for cover, but since my house is at a corner, the front lawn is getting full day of sun, literally from dawn to dusk. my neighbors front lawns all are partially shaded, so none of them experience the effect of full sun..
