Some guy offered free peaches through email to the whole company touting it was organic and free of pesticides. I emailed back making some smartass comment about Andrew Zimmern and eating bugs.

Coworker just bit into the peach. Out comes two bugs. Organic FTL.

my bro does that crap. i make fun of him as well. the kids like playing with the chickens he keeps in the back yard tho, and he has a good time bragging about the free eggs and organic fruits/veggies he eats.

Hahahaha, I get it! Because every piece of organic food is full of insects, and pesticide-free food is always insect-free.

Mmmmm, delicious neurotoxin residue.

I have no problem with self sustained living, but paying extra for the "organic" label definitely brings the lolz

Come visit the Arab world, everything is organic. If you know where to buy your shit, you'll never find better tasting food. Veggies, meat, fruits, everything tastes better here. And of course all the Coke and Pepsi made here is made with real sugar. If only the people were easier to deal with...

I don't care if food is "organic" or not (remind me how you have inorganic food again?), I just care if it's good quality. And I find that many organic brands produce higher-quality, better-tasting foods, simply because they're smaller companies that care more about flavor and less about cutting costs as low as possible. So I spend an extra $0.50 when I buy a jar of peanut butter or a can of refried beans. It's worth it.

Scoff all you want, but many organic items do actually taste better.

And they haven't contributed as much to the degradation of the ground water, or nurtured pesticide resistant bugs.
