Say a person is pulled over in front of your house or a friends house. I've always understood that you could you legally sit outside and watch what happening (maybe this is where I was wrong).

I was just watching Cops on CourTV and they pulled a guy over in his driveway, and his family was coming out to watch, and the Cop yelled at them to get inside right now. Now I understand this might be because its his family, but if a random guy got pulled over in my driveway, and I came out and wanted to watch, I could without getting into trouble correct? Or would I be charged with interference with official acts?

I've always been under the impression as a tax-paying citizen that you have the right to view what is going on.

Sure. When the cop tells you to go inside, just tell him that you own fvcking dunkin donuts and to shut the fvck up.

That's within your rights. He only did that because he was afraid of them getting involved, because they were related.

It may have been for the family's safety more thatn anything. People can be unpredictable when they get pulled over. Then again, maybe the producers didn't want to have to pay to blur out all the extra faces.

Don't forget the donuts just to piss the cop off.

if you've got any sense you do what a cop tells you, within reason of course...their job is hard enough without slack-jawed idiots rubbernecking :p

You could watch until the cop told you to go back inside. If the cop feels your safety, or the cop's, is in danger (and you never know what could happen during a traffic stop) he is within his authority to order you away.
