LAw & Order: what happened with Det. Lenny?

he was retiring. that's the last episode of last season that you just saw. i just saw it the first time too.

Dennis Farina is going to take his place. It's gonna suck not having Lenny on the show, but Dennis Farina seems to be a great replacement.

It looks like he's joining another Law & Order spinoff, called Trial By Jury. He's going to be playing Lennie Brisco in this series.

He's several years past the mandatory retirement age for the NYPD. And as others have mentioned, he's joining another L&O spinoff

Criminal Intent blows sweaty nut sack. I can't stand Denfario's (howeverthehellyouspellit) nervous ticks or his no-it-all attitude. I just wanna slit his throat and and shoot him with a noisy cricket.

hahahahahahahaha

Well, to each his own. I like the psychological aspect of the show, and the way he breaks people, just like McCoy in LnO using the law. You probably didn't like Columbo or like Monk either. SVU has no likeable characters IMO besides Belzer and Ice T, but I think Goran and his nemisis Olivia D'abo are great. Plus, they had an episode called FPS with a Carmack and Romero inspired murder. Gotta love that.

Mother Love
(Making an arrest)
OK. Sing along with me, Skate. You know the words. You're under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say....
ahahaha i just saw that episode like 5 minutes ago.

WINNER!

SVU is pretty good. But CI sucks ass. Denfario's psychic abilities are too much BS for a thinking mind to tolerate.

How the FVCK is ANYONE going to replace Lennie's one-liners before the opening credits?????:|:|:|:|:|:|:|

You're a youngin'. I remember the two guys who came before Lenny. Including Pauly from Goodfellas. 😛

Yeah George Dzunda(sp???) was great. Too bad his character got shot. I really liked the old episodes. They had a different feel to them. It was mostly about race issues back then, and a lot of crime family stuff too. Ben Stone was good too.

yeah, i kinda like CI also. sometimes they overplayed the ending though, dragged it down too long with D'onofrio playing the emotions of the perp, with the tense-building music. that annoys me a little bit.

Dunno, nothing in the show is out of the realm of possibility. You actually see him doing research a lot in the show, so a knowledgeable person with the same information should be able to come to the same conclusion. All the shows are fiction after all. 🙂

Another thing about CI...Goran's partner, the chimp-lookin' mute, is useless. She just stands around looking stupid and hardly ever says a word. And if she does speak, she just repeats whatever Goran said.

Sorta like the fat guys that stand behind the lead rapper in a music video and only say "uh huh" & "yeah"

<spoiler alert>

the episode where Ben Stone leaves was pretty sad. I couldn't imagine being a DA convincing a witness to testify against a russian mafia guy, only to be killed after the trial.
