Hey guys... this is my first post here but as an old reader of the site I thought I'll share the results of my little investigation that I made...

So as a customer of Lavalys and registered user of the EVEREST software (I hope you guys know it, one of the best sysinfo tool, IMO) had some issues with their tech support lately.. I described the problem to them about my HD5970 and EVEREST freezes but after some positive replies their support forum vanished... I sent a support ticket but I only got some generic reply (maybe auto-answer) to download latest version blahblah... After some more e-mails I started my little investigation and found something that I must share... It seems (according to several news portals and forums) they split up due to some internal issues and their developer team formed a new company and continued their operation independently from Lavalys...
This is already an interesting story but the weirdest thing that Lavalys still selling EVEREST without ANY support ?!!:eek:

Anyway I've found the website of these guys, it is at www.aida64.com. They have a limited offer to exchange old EVEREST license to a new AIDA64 license for free and also discount prices... I got my new license in a few hours and after a few tests it seems no more freezes on my GPU and also there are some new benchmarks... so this looks like a happy end to me, fortunatelly I only bought one year license from Lavalys :))

Yea, it did look pretty spammy, but thanks for the link, and welcome to AT!

It still might be spam(Are you a aida64 dev? ;^) ), but the info's still good :^)

This software started out as aida32 and was bought out by Lavalys and renamed Everest. So now it sounds like it's back to the original devs as aida64.
