lava lamp and glitter lamp

just a dumb question, are those normal lamp I can use with desk? the lava lamp looks cook, but don't look practical to me.

I dunno about the glitter lamp, but remember that lava lamps get hot as hell. You can put one on your desk if you don't mind feeling the heat.

And no, they're terribly impractical.

well if you're accustomed to candle lit desks, then they will work...they arent made for ambient lighting
