Why can't you purchase something from another website immediately with the account # and expiration date they give you after instant approval?

Same with me. I finally bit the bullet. I REALLY wnated the $150 (to buy a DX10 video card), but I didn't want another credit card.

Does anyone know what the limits on the 0% intrest for the first 12 billing cycles are?
The wording ("up to") scares me:
0% Introductory APR for up to 12 months and No Annual Fee

As long as you pay the minimum monthly payment every month, you'll get 0% financing. If you miss a monthly payment, the rate goes way up.

So it boils down to "0% financing for 12 months or until your first missed payment, whatever comes first"

11/28 Applied for Card, got instant approval
12/5 Received Card in mail
12/14 Received $150 credit on Sony Card (checked online chase.com)

Top it off with 0% interest for 12 months on purchases.. not too shabby.

I applied for the card online, didn't get immediate approval, so I figured I'd been rejected. However, I got a card in the mail with a credit limit of $3500... with no mention of the free $150 promotion. Did you guys get anything talking about the promotion when you received the card in the mail? I'm a bit leary of calling them, because they could just lie to me and tell me I'm not capable of getting the promotion.

Wow, I hope that they keep up the quick credits, that's the way it was early on with these deals. But last year at this time I got in on a $100 credit for a Sony card that didn't show until Feb.

Why not just do a charge and if you don't get the 150.00, just bitch at 'um?

I didn't get anything that said I will receive $150 when I got the card but the $150 credit posted on the account a few days ago. 9 days after I made my first purchase on the card.

If you were approved you would have found out instantly.

You're either going to be reviewed or will be getting a rejection letter.

They seem to be giving people with somewhat iffy credit $3500, probably counting on them forgetting to pay in full after a year or missing one payment by at least one day.

Chase is notorious for raising the 0% intro to sky high 29.99% or even more one day after your statement prints, that way you don't even find out about it for a month so even if you can pay off the balance immediately they got you for at least a month worth of astronomical APRs.

Chase does this as soon as they find out about your payment problems to anyone anywhere (legitimate or not).

So be careful with Chase Bank 😉

/same here [different dates to protect the innocent] 🙂

To those of you who just got your $150 credit, do you also have other Sony credit cards active? I still have the one from last year to get the $100 credit. I applied for this $150 credit deal as well. I've made my purchase and so far I haven't seen a credit.

so let me get this straight - i can sign myself and my wife up for 2 different accounts and basically pick up a xbox360 for free? excellent 🙂 let me know if i am incoorect...

I didn't get instant approval eventhough I had another Chase card. 3 or 4 days later I got the new Sony card in the mail.
I only made several small purchases and got the $150 credit 10 days after the 1st purchase.
Now my account have a positive balance.

Wow. 10 days is very nice dude. The last $100 at the beginning of this year took 6 months for me.

I just got my card in the mail, won't get a chance to try it out for awhile.

I'm still a little unclear on how to get the $150 credit. Is it after your first purchase of any amount, or do you need to rack up $150 in purchases first? I just checked at chase.com (I have another chase card, they're both on the same account), no credit yet but I haven't made any purchases either

I'm in, great deal....use it, spend the $150 credit, dump it.

I got in on the $100 deal a couple years ago. In that one, I used the card once, paid it off and they mailed me a check for $100! Cashed the check and cancelled the card.....HOT DEAL. 🙂

apparently i did get the card. I was checking my amazon account on chase.com and i suddenly saw a sony account right beneat. I haven't gotten my card inth email though. SO to those who think they didn't get it because there was not instant approval you may just need to wait.

wasn't sony supposed to send me an email about this so i coul;d use the card as soon as it was approved though?
