Laundry questions

Answer the poll, then let us know your reasoning.

I just throw them all in I figure the clothes have all been washed a hundred times before and the colors aren't going to run by now, but my GF only wants whites with whites, darks with darks.

i actually have 3 seperate loads

1. whites
2. color
3. black

I wash black seperately with Woolite as it keeps my black clothes like new. No fading whatsoever!

As you said in email... I'll just do them when I get home...

keeps the girls clothes the correct colors as well as your greasy shirts, well, greasy... 😛

separate!

i wash all whites in hot and dry on high since most are just socks and stuff i don't care about shrinking. but darks i wash in dark and dry on medium or low or hang dry, to minimize shrinkage. also i care very much about color bleeding - i have some new dark jeans that still haven't bled all the way through and there is NO way i'd wash those with the whites.

I think they prefer to be called African-American clothes. :|

Meh...I just throw everything in the washer and set it to permanent press (warm wash). It works fine for me. I do however do a seperate wash once every month or so when I bleach all my whites, but thats it.

Generally I do separate loads for whites+bleach, lights w/o bleach, darks, etc., but sometimes I will combine colors and throw in one of those color-catcher sheets, they are great!

I seperate into:

Whites
Towels (don't want fuzz from towels onto other clothing)
Dark Colors
Bright Colors

I do the same.

whites
towels + reds (my towels are all red, and all my red clothes are flannel, so it works out)
dark colors
bright colors
