Ok, so I was doing some laundry this weekend, this is not a new thing for me, I just usually throw it all in the wash and dryer, I've bought some nicer clothes lately though and was hoping to take better care of it. Anyway, on with the question: What exactly is the difference between, "perm. press," "gentle," "medium," and "low." are. Where does perm. press fit into the mix? Is it more gentle than gentle, or is it more of a regular setting? Just curious.

I haven't done my own laundry in ages, but IIRC the washing machine has this info printed on the lid. 🙂

 
Perm press is for permanent pressed clothing like those stiffer dress pants and tops. I believe its the hottest one. If you want to take the best care of your new clothes, use either gentle or medium depending on the fabric type.
