Is there anyway to do this?

As in creating a shortcut to IE and putting a parameter after the path to IE to make IE launch in full screen mode right off the bat.

Yeah, there's a couple of ways.

First, lemme ask where are you running IE from? The standard desktop shortcut? Quick Launch taskbar icon? Start Menu? etc?

If you're launching it anywhere besides the standard IE icon on the desktop, just right-click on that shortcut icon and choose Properties and make sure that it says Maximized in the Run field under the Shortcut Tab.

If you want to use your desktop icon, you'll need to create a shortcut of that icon. The reason being is if you select Properties of the standard IE icon, it will bring up your Internet Properties (such as cookies, history, etc).

So make a new shortcut of that IE. Then, right-click on that new shortcut and do the same from above. Then remove that original IE icon from the desktop.

You may also get the hankering to have each additional IE window open up in full-screen mode as well (i.e. when you click on a link and a new window opens). If so, that's easy too. Hold down SHIFT and click any link. The link will open in a new smaller window. Continue to hold SHIFT as you click and drag this window the max size (don't use the max button, you must drag), then, while STILL holding SHIFT, go to File and Close in that new window (don't use the X to close it... use the File--> Close while holding SHIFT). Then, the next time you click on a link to open in a new window, it will be maximized as well.

press right mouse button on the shortcut->properties. on the shortcut stripe, right to "start in:" add -f to the end of the written line. if you are using xp you don't need anything else. if another version then you may need to add quation mark in the end and in the start of the line. (example: for me it is: "%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% -f", but I didn't write the quation marks and there were none before adding the "-f"..

cheers m8, I hope you get it.

Just run Regedit. Hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\internet explorer\main\ Double Click Full Screen and enter yes. Done.

I guess I messed up on the explanation, I need IE to open up in Full Screen Mode (i.e. when you press F11 in IE it goes to full screen, not just maximized)

Right now I'm trying it on a 2000 box and what RoseZalutations suggested is not working, I will try it on an XP box next.

quick edit:

works on XP, but not 2000 Pro.

Thanks alot guys.
