Laughing/making a joke about the dead

Inspired by this Fark thread... People are getting all upset about the fact that someone made a joke about a marathon runner who died at Disneyworld after completing a marathon. Just wanted other opinions on the subject. I personally don't see anything wrong with it. I mean, they're dead, right?
