Laughing Gas

Hi,

My friend recently went on holiday and bought back some laughing gas. The type where it is in a can and you fill a balloon with it and breathe in and out of it a few times and you start laughing.

What my question is, is it dangerous? And I have read that Nitrous Oxide is laughing gas so if I get some Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) does it give the same affect.

I have researched and some say it?s very dangerous but some say it?s harmless if you do it from the balloon and small amounts?

Thanks

This is why Walmart requires ID to purchase super glue.
Don't inhale things...lol.

and model clue. wich really ticks me off. i remember when i was 12 i could go in and buy a double pack of model glue. now when i need some they ask id. WTF IM 33! ahh!

not that id o models much. none of the stores have any good ones and you can do teh same few they have so many times.

There's medical grade and there's industrial grade (not safe for what you're talking about)... but abusing the medical grade it isn't likely to end well.

so i guess that the one sold as laughing gas and the one on ebay are both bad for you?

if that is true how comes they use it in dentists etc?

thanks

Odds are that you won't be using it at the dentist long enough to cause problems...

Because a licensed anaetheseologist administering it in a controlled setting for its intended purpose IS EXACTLY IDENTICAL TO you huffing it at home.

Laughing gas, done properly, has more potent effects then you can possibly imagine. It's much more than laughing for just a few minutes. Your vision and hearing can go absolutely to pot, with slight visuals and weird noises in your ears - an interesting experience. The effects get gradually less and less and are mostly gone in a couple of minutes. A strange feeling may linger for a bit but you'll pretty much be back to normal fairly quickly.

I have no idea about the safety of it. But I'm guessing since you can legally buy it on nights out and at festivals that the risk isn't too high. Exercise caution though, and definitely don't do too much if you're standing up - you may fall over!

But if you are doing it, and want the best effect, you want to fill a balloon with one of those chargers, breathe all the air out of you lungs, and then put the balloon to your lips and breathe deeply in and out, over and over again, for as long as you can (making the balloon get bigger and smaller). If you just inhale once you simply don't get the strong effect. Most people who will tell you laughing gas has little or no effect haven't done it properly.

Enjoy!

thanks for that.

thats how i have done it before, took a big one and passed out once.

any idea how to get it out the chargers and into a balloon?

thanks

Yeah you need a dispenser, you can buy them many places online.

You can buy starter kits with a load of canisters and a dispenser... I just googled and found this for example. Dead easy to use.
