Anyone remember these?
They were often sold inside felt drawstring bags and took a single C cell. You would squeeze the bag pressing a button that would engage (start) the sequence.
Inside was a tiny plastic record with a stylus connected to a "speaker" - fully passive (mechanical) amplification. Some had a dual side record with the hilarious laughing on one side and a bird chirp on the other. There are laughing boxes available now but these are electronic.
The original ones worked similar to those toys that had a string you would pull and it would say a phrase or make different noises.
