Latter half of January and all is quiet..

Pics have surfaced of the first two, but no benchies. Someone has the hardware in hand, otherwise we'd have no pics.

Do NDA's wield this much control?? No leaked benchies?? What's a graphics card without drivers. Think they're still tuning drivers?

This new way of launching product sucks. I had benchies in hand on the GTX and was able to sell two 7900 GTO's prior to the GTX launching. Call it a rant, but this is crap...

I heard the R680 [3870 X2] would be out the 23rd, and almost nothing about the others. Mind you, that's just a rumor but I hope it does come out then, with some impressive performance numbers, and not through-the-roof power consumption and heat. [Second part's not going to happen, I know]

That's the rumor on the release date for this thing.

If it's a hard launch and that date holds true, NDA's are working better than ever. I'd be sooo tempted to leak the info if it were in my hands. :evil:

Yea power and heat are factors, but who cares at this point. We've been conditioned to deal with them. I hope R680 performs. And that's from an nV fanboy.

I still love nV, but they need a kick in the ass for playing the G80 hand as long as they have. It may not be a smackdown, but stealing marketshare sure will sting...

I'm not familiar with "average" scores at such a high rez (30 inch monitor default...) so would someone (maybe JAG87) with experience with high end card(s) at such a rez - its 9500ish a good score

I'm an Nvidia fanboy at the moment but thats due to them holding the crown in high performance - if ATI steps up I'll gladly change sides
