After reading some previus threads I wanted to edit this particular one. I was hoping someone could give me an overview on the Latitude D600 & 800 vs Tecra models. Or given the follow specs who would you choose. Can you really see the difference between 32mb vid ram versus 64.

The M9 32MB will be slower than the M9 64MB by about 20-25% depending on games, etc. With that price, I would seriously consider IBM T40 (with the ATI M9 32MB and SXGA+ LCD). I believe IBM have a sale promotion right now so you can configure a nice T40 with M9 and SXGA+ for that price.

Ehhh, I have had a very bad experience with IBMs (desktops) in the past and took an oath to never purchase another product from them again. Their support, at the time, was not even subpar; more frankly, nonexistent.
 
My experience with IBM support on thier laptop is quiet opposite (I've never own an IBM desktop though). They take the call very quickly (less than a min most of the time) and they do thier job pretty good (better than Dell and Sony I've dealt with in the past). For the laptop, IBM is top grade and I always like IBM TS more than Dell and Sony. I'm sure someone else with more experiences with IBM TS can give you more opinion on this issue.
