Latex mattresses?

So I'm interested in latex mattresses, but the sales guy I spoke to at a local store said they stopped carrying them because people kept returning them (something about them developing sag spots; or something) Does anyone here have a latex mattress? Is this an issue you've had with yours? because I don't see a lot of corroborating testimony to this online; though on the other hand for a store to discontinue them entirely makes me presume the problem(s) were persistent enough to effect profitability.

Also, does anyone know of any chain stores that are likely to have a demo latex mattress in the showroom?

Some people here have said they've ordered latex foam and made their own mattresses for pretty cheap.

I've never laid on one so I don't know.

I have used Latex pillows almost all my entire life. They do not develop any sag spots. A 100% latex mattress will not, maybe people that bought ones with other kinds of foam got sagging.

I am guessing that particular store decided to stop carrying them for some other reason and decided that was the lie they were going to tell to try to make a sale when a customer asked for something they no longer sell.

Mattress sales people are right up there (or down there) with used car sales people.
