I would love to see Obama make a hop into AZ - get BoB or the Cards stadium for a day - and see what kinda crowd he could get.

Thats why I gave 2 links Electoral vote.com has him by 2 points... RCP just moved Arizona from "strong McCain to "leaning McCain" following the same path that Virginia, N. Carolina, Missouri, and Indiana have gone. =).

I doubt he will win Arizona, but the fact that its getting that close says alot.

This is interesting because two weeks ago I was in Tempe, the very heart of McCain country. I didn't see one blip about McCain. No bumperstickers, signs, t-shirts, banners... nothing. However, there was a definite Obama-support presence. Not as much as there is in IN, but for AZ it was surprising.

EDIT: grammar

Close only counts in horseshoes, not the electoral college.
Though it would be a comeuppance to Maverick John.

I live here in the Phoenix area... I dont see a whole lot of it for either side. Most people like McCain for his history, but no-one is excited about him as president, and many are dissapointed in his actions over the past 2 months. I suppose its like that everywhere though.

I'm in Tucson. Obama bumper stickers outnumber McCain bumper stickers by maybe 50%. Yard signs for presidential candidates are few in number and are fairly evenly split. Republican yard signs for other races outnumber Dem signs maybe 2:1.

While it would be great if McCain lost AZ, I just Obama to win 270 electoral votes. A landslide would be amazing as it would give Obama a lot of "political capital" as Bush put it, but I'll be happy if he just wins.
