Latest P55 platform/storage drivers?

Ichinisan

I HATE trying to get this from Intel. I keep getting to broken/missing download pages. It even forced me to run the Java driver detection utility and it still won't link me to an INF installer.

The last thing I want to do is go get old / outdated drivers from MSI's neglected product downloads page (P55-GD55). How can I make sure I get only the latest?

Version 9.4.3.1007beta is the latest, which can be found here:
http://www.station-drivers.com/page/intel%20chipset.htm
9.4.0.1017 WHQL is also available there.

Note: may require manual installation of each pertinent device within Device Manager/System Devices & USB Controllers. Running the Intel Setup.exe installer often won't update several existing Intel device drivers.

Thanks. I punched the latest WHQL version number into Google and ended-up on an Intel download page. Installed and allowed it to restart.

I now see an "Intel" 2013 driver on the SATA controller. The drive itself shows a "Microsoft" 2006 driver. Should that say "Intel?" I'm not sure.

That's fine. The "driver" for disks themselves is really just a tiny stub that provides the device manager handle and allows it to query some basic SCSI info. All the real work happens in the controller.
