I searched and didn't find this already posted.

Many of our readers are interested to know how the new AMD64 platform performs as a gaming solution. Unfortunately, the Newisys server comes with an integrated Trident Blade 3D card (8 MB) and it is of course a "pure" server solution.

So how could I give an estimate of the AMD64's gaming power? Once again, The Messageboard, the great CyberBrain, gave me the Answer. "Hbg" told me to use the "Null renderer" of Unreal Tournament 2003. This means that no data will be sent to the videocard, which should bypass the videocard, the "spoilsport" for our game benchmarking.

We had a knock-down, drag-out discussion of it here, with some saying that the unequal implementation of the PCI bus (Opteron is better) was skewing Anand's results.
