Hi,

I've been out of the graphics scene for a bit because of school, but now that's over I'd like to get up-to-date again. What are currently the best drivers for Nvidia cards? I currently have an 8800GTS 320MB (older version). Thanks!

i have the 8800gts 320mb as well, and i ve found that the 171.xx series of drivers work best for me. i dont really like the 174.xx or 175.xx set of drivers, they dont work well with every game that i have, and i think they are more optimized for the g92 8800's while the 171.xx series for me works really good with the g80 8800's. right now im using 171.37 WHQL which has given zero problems.

i got them from station drivers:

You might want to be more specific with the problems you are having, so others can know what to look for.

With my 7900GT, 175.16 WHQL is pretty good, for both XP and Vista.

Well with all of the drivers after 169.09 (including the 171.xx series) for some reason the display drivers dont reset properly when the drivers crash and the monitor loses the signal for about 30s before they blue screen on me. That thing really ticks me off (and i ve assured my gpu's stability with ati-tool and playing lots of games) but once in a while the drivers reset randomly and i get a bsod. In nba live 08, the 174 and 175 series have extreme performance problems for some reason (<10fps), the game isnt playable at all whatsoever, but this isnt the case for the 171 series as everything in the game works good.
