NVIDIA has released the latest drivers, version 42.68 for all 3DMark03 testing and benchmarking. This driver will greatly improve your benchmark performance when running the 3DMark03.

LOL

I had the same reaction to that line. I wish they would just continue on making drivers that are going to make the most of our systems rather than focusing on a lame benchmark program.

I tried the drivers and only got a 300 point increase.
And I got some ugly banding on test 2 and 3.

Actually if the original quote were true then they'd be posted on nVidia's site not just "leaked" (er whatever).

still using 30.82s, since i doubt actual games will get noticable better performance with a driver update to a GF3ti200. I see little point with the bother until i get a game that actually needs newer ones, I'm not a benchmark fanatic. Having said that, maybe gf4 series might get noticably better game performance, since I imagine the 4x.xx are written more with those cards in mind.

Of course I'd be happy for anyone to prove otherwise and show i can get more gaming performance for the price of a download ;).

Is it just me or is nVidia getting silly? I never thought their Det 40's were all that great... it does seem as though the only purpose for the latest driver release was for the purposes of 3DMark2003.

Just hoping they haven't lost their minds...

My Leadtek Winfast A250TD (or whatever) GF4Ti4400 is only recognizing 64mb's of RAM, so i'm more concerned about stability & workin correctly than 100 more Onions. What kind of stability issues are y'all having with these?

"We received these drivers directly from NVIDIA, and it's available at their Press FTP. The Press FTP is a private FTP site which requires a login and password and it's not open to the public. We were informed that the drivers were sent out to select members of the press and are not for wide distribution. Due to copyright violation, we have removed the links for the downloads above."

They removed the download links from the site.
