It's bad if you ask me. Who the hell wants a torque steer laden, fugly base Maxima for $28,000 when you can get a beautiful base RWD G35 for the same price. And for $34,000 you could have a nicely loaded G35 sedan.
 
Comparing apples to oranges, imo. Quattro buyers are their own niche, totally different than Maxima buyers. Or did Nissan give the Maxima AWD this time?

maximas are nice tho~ ... but too much power = torque steer death~ 🙁

with all that power~ it should be an RWD
 
I rather have the Maxima, the Audi may leave you stranded on the road with reliability issues, no matter how nice it looks.

They claim the Audi looks blah...but they don't really mention the Maxima looks ass! hehehe

seriously, not the best head-to-head choice IMHO
 
Let's see, the Maxima just plain ugly, and my grandpa thinks the Audi would have looked dated years ago.

Based on looks... I'd pick the G35.
Based on value... I'd pick the G35.
Based on "fun-factor"... I'd pick the RX-8.

Well, the Maxima still drew lot's of praise from Motor Trend. I think the Maxima's reliability makes it the winner in this comparo, IMO.

back in the day? i assume you mean after 1996 because anyone who owned an audi prior to that would hate them. pieces of trash.

anyway, if you're shopping an a4 you'd probably cross shop the G35, not the max. this is a weird comparo.
