I have attempted several times to install the latest Adobe Flash Player (yes, I know to give permission to the Active X installation).

I click on install, give permission for the Active X, and then it tells me it was successfully installed.

Yet when I go to watch an online video the same message comes up that I have to download the latest Adobe Flas Player.

How do I fix this issue? Thanks.

But I have done this -- several times. It tells me that it has installed correctly but when I go to view an online video I keep getting the message I need the latest version.

When ever I've had this problem I found that using the Flash uninstaller first and then re-installing it usually works great.

Perfect! It did the trick. The only additional thing I had to do was to do a Search for anything left over concerning Adobe and manually delete.

I reinstalled and now everything works as it should. Thanks for the advice and link GrumpyMan.
