Latency question

I've ordered a brand new couple Corsair TWINX2048-3200C2PRO INFO, and i'm using the ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe Mobo.

Now.. I ain't so familiar with how the latency on memories work. Do i need adjust anything in bios when i put these in, or does my motherboard do it by itself? I dont want to overclock them. Just wanna go by the standard.

It depends on what the manufacturer sets the default timings to. Sometimes manufactures like to loosen the default timings (higher latencies than spec) for compatability issues with mobos that can't run tight timing (this can be argued).

When you fire them up in your system your BIOS should tell you what you're timings are at and you can adjust them to whatever you see fit.

I will try using their tested timings first (2-3-3-6). And if i notice anything strange, i'll probably get back here 🙂
