Latency issues with Modern Warfare2 PS3

Lately I've noticed that I've been having lag issues while playing online. The enemy team seems to see me first every single time. Say, we're both running around a corner and we both notice each other and draw and fire at the same time, they will almost always kill me. I watch the Kill Cam and notice on their screen that I didn't even fire a single shot before they take me down. It usually still shows me running around the corner while they're firing.

Any ideas about how to improve this? Besides a new ISP. Comcast is my best option at the moment.

You using Cat5 or wireless?

What kind of TV do you have? There could be two possibilities, network lag or TV input lag.

this happens constantly on MW2 and happened constantly on COD4 as wel.

i will see them, aim right on them, fire, they will then turn at me, fire and kill me.

then in the kill cam, it makes me look like a complete noob and not even aiming on the guy and firing, or not even firing a shot like it showed on my screen.

i attribute this to poor net code by IW.

It was happening for me on CoD4 also and I was playing it on Xbox 360 at the time. I was really hoping that this problem wouldn't pop up with the console switch. The whole problem has really turned me in to more of a camper than anything. I just don't trust running around corners anymore.

I've also started using the Shotgun more as my secondary since it's more forgiving.

I think it's all down to how the servers are. It annoyed me at first then I had some games where I was the one who seemed to be benefiting from the lag issue. I still wish they could do something to make it a better experience, but the way I see it it happens to everyone and I love the game so I'm not going to throw it aside.

There are no servers though, the game is hosted by players. If you are selected as the hsot you get an advantage over everyone else, just like in GoW.

This same thing happens on the PC now that it uses the same system as the consoles. It did not happen in COD4 for PC thanks to ded servers. Hate to bring it up but it's one of the disadvantages of having a player host the games.
