I got bit by the Mercedes bug ~5yrs ago and bought an 84 300D. Great car, planned on converting to run veggie, never got around to it, sold it and doubled my money.
Anyway, I've seen probably half a dozen ~90k mile ~98 Mercedes C230s around lately in the $4-5K range. As a point of reference, this is the same price people are asking for late 90's Accords and Camry's around here (usually with 110k miles). Iowa.
Anyway, what's the word on this vintage of mercedes?
I've read that the transmission is sealed, so you have to get a bit creative to change the fluid (no biggie for me). Other than that, are they known for anything bad?
