Ok peeps, last speech.

This one is a persuasive speech based on policy with a call to action.

Any ideas?

This is the last speech, I've killed the class so far, but I'm again having trouble picking a topic. A little of the undecidedness has to do with the fact that I start my vacation the day after my speech, so I'm a little preoccupied now.

Help a brother out.

word.

Unpopular positions make for better arguments, especially if it's a viewpoint you don't agree with (it really gets you to focus on finding any argument you can in support of a viewpoint). Pick an issue you don't necessarily agree with and use that.

Unless of course the assignment specifically calls for you to take a stance which you agree with.

legalize marijuana

As much as I'd like to, I'm sure this is one that is done by at least 2 people every class. It's probably overdone.

All mine have been on tech so far.

Informative on E3
Persuasive based on fact was Mac > PC

I'm kind of thinking of doing it on net neutrality, but aside from calling a congressman, the call to action is lacking.

My other choice is maybe doing a persuasive to cut the cord (drop cable)

why do you need another new thread with suggestions to ignore?

What do you mean, I took suggestions last thread. And stuck with some of the suggestions that were to do it on something that interests me, which is how I ended up doing Mac > PC.

Problem with that?

Topic - Effects of the last ice age on modern man

Call to action - Stop pollution.

I did a college thesis on this same topic, but no call to action.

Harsh. But I don't know if I can do a speech on persuading people to believe something that is pretty much common knowledge.
