all i can say is..

woah, just woah.

i went over my cousins who is lets say, well off

he recently purchased this

matched with a pioneer true hd 5.1 SS

we watched the ufc fights, then challenged me to some gears of war (we are always competitive)

i still cant get over the picture quality, the sound, ughhh it was just so amazing!

i dont even own a tv capable of 480p

i am now looking into my first HDTV 😛
 
have a 1080p projector. i completely understand where you are coming from.

its simply quite awesome. even though hooking up my wii to it (in 480p of course) looks quite bad compared to an xbox360 or a ps3 in much higher HD, its damn awesome playing in 5.1/7.1 sound.

argh, i still have yet to show everyone our home theater setup (dedicated room, the whole nine yards). does anyone want to see it?

I'm being dead serious. I play GOW in fullscreen so I can get more viewing area, I used to play madden 06 in 480i too because I had my computer hooked up through the hi def cables, now HL2 looks amazing in 1080i with 16xaa.
